Practice Interview Team (The PIT Crew) - You must have an appointment in order to have a practice interview. Panels of interviewers are ready to help you practice for that real interview.  The practice interview team is made up of volunteers from multiple industries and they attempt to ask the questions that your potential employer might ask.  The team will need research time so  "Appointments are taken on a first-come basis, for proper preparation no appointments will be accepted after 6 pm the previous day." St. Jude Career Alliance  the job search workshops will be held quarterly – instead of weekly - in an all-day Saturday setting. The content for the new job search curriculum will be based on Jack Bick’s latest career development book, The ChampionWay 2.0.  Mr. Bick, the former publisher of the Dallas Business Journal and the Collin County Business Press, also created the Be Mission Critical:Own Your Dream Career program that served as the foundation for the St. Jude Career Alliance Ministry’s job search curriculum since 2018. The day-long workshop will have four main sections, called Experiences; two Experiences will be presented in the morning and two Experiences will be presented in the afternoon. Attendance at these quarterly all-day jobs each workshops is open to all people of any faith, ethnicity, age, etc.  Everyone is welcome!

 CareerWorks - Wilkinson Center - CareerWorks is a 2 week course designed for job seekers who have a hard time finding job due to employment barriers. In this class students will learn how to think like the employer, develop good answers to difficult questions and how to market yourself. Students will also develop a 5 year career plan. For job seekers without computer skills, there is a 6 week basic class that includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint offered prior to the start of CareerWorks. There is an onsite computer lab available for students to use for job search after class and a Jobview Kiosk machine.

CAREER TRANSITION WORKSHOP - The Career Transition Workshop is designed as a 12-week recurring series to help job seekers. Path Forward: Life Solutions for Today's Job Seeker @ First Baptist Church - Garland - is a ministry of our church that will provide help, hope, and healing for the job seekers in our community.
